The cat and the dog have made friends at last!  Well, I say friends.  Perhaps aquaintances would be a more accurate term.  Or 'someone I meet in the hall'.  Anyway, they are now able to pass each other without re-enacting Tom and Jerry, which is great news.  The cat isn't hiding upstairs any more and she is no longer thin and bony.  She is even drinking out of the dog's water dish, which is her way of putting two fingers (or two claws) up at the dog for trying to pinch her dinner.
